Release notes for build number 149. Please read below.

Warning

New line version! This build of ChilloutVR is not compatible with previous game and server versions. Please upgrade your game to the newest version to be able to see it.

Game changes

Since the last update, the following things have been ADDED:

  • Added Full-Body tracking, 3+3P using Vive trackers or emulated Vive trackers.

  • Added Audio mixer group with auto assignment. Including audio settings in the settings menu.

  • Added Graphics settings "Fancy scene transition" and "Max frame rate".

  • Added dynamic player height calibration using setting provided in the menu.

  • Added explore offline button to world details view. Worlds can now be locally explored without having to be connected to an instance.

  • Camera settings like layers and far clipping plane are now synced properly.

  • Added default controller bindings for Mixed Reality controllers.

Since the last update, the following things have been CHANGED:

  • Drastically improved render quality in VR mode.

  • The framerate target at game start is now always 60 to prevent unnecessary high GPU usage. The proper framerate target will be applied once the settings are being loaded.

  • Changed asset distribution network to use AWS Accelerate network. Download speeds should now be improved by a lot.

  • Mesh renderers are no longer disabled on mirror clone.

  • Fixed ui pointing ray direction.

  • Fixed post processing in mirrors.

  • Fixed a bug where mirrors would have inverted vision on the right or left eye.

  • Fixed local dynamic bone behaviour when in VR.

  • Fixed a bug where dynamic bones would stop working after maxfloatvalue was applied.

  • Fixed a bug where pickup objects can not be grabbed in VR mode.

  • Fixed a bug where pickup objects can not be released in VR mode.

  • Fixed a bug where the interaction system would cause the game to crash.

  • Fixed a bug that would cause the game to crash after new players joined the instance. (This only happened in rare cases)

  • Fixed a bug where VR vision quality would be strongly decreased.

  • Fixed a bug where in-world interaction would feel laggy / unresponsive.

  • Fixed a bug where a network players disconnection would lead to a null reference exception when trying to unsubscribe from that players talk activity events.

Website changes

Since the last update, the following things have been ADDED:

  • Avatar / World deletion option.

  • Avatar sharing.

Network changes

Since the last update, the following things have been ADDED:

  • Functional EU server region.
