Release notes for build number 150. Please read below.

New line version! This build of ChilloutVR is not compatible with previous game and server versions. Please upgrade your game to the newest version to be able to see it.

Game changes

Since the last update, the following things have been ADDED:

  • Added Instancing 2.0 containing the following instance types: The instance type "Group" is missing, as the group system is not yet implemented. The join permission is dependent on the CURRENT owner of the instance.

    • Public

    • Friends

    • Friends of Friends

    • Everyone can invite

    • Owner must invite

  • Added in-game invite system. Warning: this system is fully API authorative. If your connection is unstable this might cause invites to not be delivered in time. The system jobs will then retry to deliver the notification until it returns a success.

  • Added eye tracking for humanoid avatars.

  • Added viseme lip sync supporting 15 standard visemes:

    • sil, PP, FF, TH, DD, kk, CH, SS, nn, RR, aa, E, ih, oh, ou

    • Hint: Visemes and Eyeblink can be disabled in animations by animating the CVRAvatar.

  • //Added Safety system base including the following tags and types:

    • Types: Enabled for everyone, Enabled for friends, Disabled

    • Tags:

  • Added Google Resonance Audio for 3D spatialized audio.

  • Added new bundle formatter (Assets 2.0) This will increase avatar / world loading times slightly but makes ripping content harder.

  • Added in-game friends and relations management:

    • Send, Accept and Deny friend requests

    • Send friend requests using player profile

  • Added setting to forcefully block post processing types: Bloom, Ambient Occlusion.

  • Added setting to enable / disable VSync.

  • Added setting to enable / disable Player nameplates.

  • Added setting to enable / disable head bobbing.

  • Reworked Nameplate and nameplate manager system.

    • The name now auto scales properly.

    • The user profile images can now be toggled via settings.

    • The friends state is now shown on the nameplate (yellow arrow)

  • Added custom menu binding option for right and left menu button - options to select:

    • None

    • Quick Menu

    • Game Menu

  • Added new notification type: Push notification.

  • Added setting for thumbstick and touchpad deadzones.

  • Added support for CVR GI Material Updater.

  • Added support for CVR Chair.

  • Added support for World Portal Marker.

  • Added support for new trigger actions:

    • DisplayWorldDetailPage

    • DisplayInstanceDetailPage

    • DisplayAvatarDetailPage

    • SitAtPosition

  • Players can now be clicked to open their details page while Game Menu or Quick Menu is open.

Since the last update, the following things have been CHANGED:

  • Changed limits for Player Height calibration in the UI to prevent crashes.

  • Changed voice origin centralization point for networked players.

  • Changed auto-disconnect to be called earlier to prevent an issue with player despawning.

  • Fixed a bug where "Disconnect and go home" would close the game.

  • Fixed a bug where the UI action for disconnection would not be processed properly.

  • Fixed alignment of voice position on avatar, the voice point is now, where the audio ball was set before uploading the avatar.

  • Fixed a bug where setting the Framerate target to unlimited would crash the game.

  • Fixed a bug where avatars with missing finger bones would cause movements to not be applied to networked player avatars.

  • Fixed a bug where avatars with missing finger bones would cause movements not to be applied to local player avatars.

  • Fixed a bug where objects on wrists would cause the IK Calibration to fail.

  • Fixed a bug where network player avatars would not load after emote list interpretion failed.

  • Fixed a bug where setting the player size too low would render the game unplayable.

  • Fixed a bug where cameras on player avatars could take over other players viewpoints.

  • Fixed a bug that leads to avatar components being shown twice in the mirror.

  • Fixed a bug where vive controller turning would always result in jumping.

  • Fixed a bug that would cause network players to be spawned twice.

  • Fixed a bug where player rotation is off-center and feels very strange.

  • Fixed a bug where multiple controller rays pointing on the menu would make scrolling hard.

  • Fixed a bug that would cause players in VR to fall out of worlds after spawning or teleporting.

  • Fixed a bug that would cause server connections to be interrupted randomly.

  • Fixed a bug where creating an instance directly after switching the world would result in a crash.

  • Fixed a bug that would cause the avatar loading queue to break which would require a game restart to see newly loaded avatars again.

  • Fixed a bug that would cause the nameplate voice indicator for networked players to fail.

  • Fixed a bug that causes the respawn point to not be set according to world settings.

  • Fixed a bug where nameplate updates were processed too early.

  • Fixed a bug where adjusting the audio sliders would result in a crash.
